Today was another good example of where I should have quit while I was ahead. I allowed myself to get overextended on the mid-day rally which I wasn't expecting, and had to close positions for a loss before the end of the day. I squandered an up day on some unexpected turns in AMD and Tesla (TSLA).

Interested to see what earnings for brings tomorrow however.

• Moving small volume again today, I'm not really interested in taking too many big risks with Scott Bessent speaking at 8 PST and some important earnings for me tomorrow
• "short term pain" all these capitalists talking about. Loving to talk about "uncertainty" without a strong understanding about how uncertainty screws everything up for the US economy especially with straining abroad.
• Bloomberg radio mentions that it's 25% lighter volume today. Seeing that with less elasticity in some prices.
• My call options are staying surprisingly resilient despite price changes in the underlying equity, must be the earnings premium keeping them high.
• Nvidia (NVDA) is really difficult to tell the momentum on, I really should stop placing options there, it just increases my anxiety :)
• The challenging thing with long put options is that it's really difficult to find a good place to put in automatic stops, since the price volatility can be such a spread during the day.
• Volume trickling during the lunch hour, really surprising to see to see how low Tesla (TSLA) volume is today generally.
• Been watching AMD, NVDA, and TSLA jitter quite a bit today. Wondering if it's related to volume or a tug-of-war.
• Over-extended a bit later in the afternoon, will need to close some positions before the end of the day but not feeling confident in the ability for positive or negative news to swing the market one way or the other. Feels very directionless.
• Had to take a loss on TSLA options which pushed up higher than I expected. Big bias to the upside today.
• Exited some positions out of necessity before the final half hour, which means I missed some gains unfortunately. Market really lost steam into the close and had an interesting sell-off
